Supercross in San Diego

Josh decided that it was time he and Kris got out of the shop, so he booked us tickets to the races for Valentines Day in San Diego. So we packed up the car and headed south - where we hoped we would get lucky for at least one vacation and have nice weather. The stars were not in our favor. Most of the time the stars were severely blocked by thick rain clouds. Oh well. We're used to it. (Rainy Vacation Record:That's three rain soaked trips to Calif., two rainy trips to Hawaii - they even closed down the Polynesian center - something they rarely do, and the rainy flooding in China where Nida and I experienced wading up to our ankles through the streets with millions of umbrellas and me trying not to lose my sequined flipflops - I wish we had pictures of that one. If I think back further, it rained both times we went to the coast of Oregon too. Maybe the only trip we didn't have rain was our trip to Iowa. But the hotel room floor was flooded so that probably counts!)
It's so nice to have 6 big people to take care of Xian 'cuz' sometimes she's just more than one Mama can handle!
Our minivan was always easy to find: the luggage pod was usually the only one in the parking lots! We weren't proud - we loved it!
San Diego Temple
Beach Pix from San Diego, Carlsbad, Long Beach, Redondo Beach and Manhatten Beach
We watched dolphins in the waves with the surfers at Redondo Beach.
Kris dug his own grave.
Luckily most of us didn't turn into monsters in the hotel room!
Disneyland
Splash Mountain
The main attraction at Disneyland for Sam was the arcade. He could have spent his WHOLE entire time there.
One of the FAVORITE rides. Our pennies are probably still riding somewhere in the Twilight Zone.
(Sam's somewhere in the Arcade during this picture outside of Space Mountain.)
Space Mountain was another favorite! Even Xian got to ride - you can't see her cuz she's a little short. She barely made the 40" height requirement by the hairs on her head.
